ichele began drawing horses with a pencil and crayons when she was three, today she prefers Photoshop and a mouse! Growing up in the midwest on a ranch was a great childhood experience and Michele loved horses and drawing horses.
A special high school art instructor encouraged Michele to pursue a career in art after winning a regional competition. She attended the  Colorado Institute of Art in Denver majoring in Graphic Design.
She created Michele Johnson Personals, a greeting card and design company in 1988, which is now Prairie Heart Greetings. Offering originally designed cards, stationery and other gifts with a "from Nebraska" theme. They can be found in fine gift shops across the state of Nebraska or ordered on-line, by phone or by mail.
